When my Momma passed it was a very hard time for me. I was the one who found her at her house. it is a horrible thing to go through. I am not a cook, but i probably have baked more than anyone on this planet... As i worked at a bakery that made McDonalds buns :) We would put a half ton of dough through the machines in 18 minutes on the Big Mac buns.
Other than my creation of "Pizzonia" a cross between Lasagna and Pizza i am really not creative in the kitchen. My wife Carol is a wonderful cook and that keeps me out of the kitchen! The recipes were one of my first picks of momma's things after she passed. I had always said i was going to do this so i decided i had better get this on the net to share with my family, friends and the net. If you enjoy a recipe let us know at georgebc@gte.net if you use it please keep the names the same, maybe you would forward a favorite to me to add to the list! Please Enjoy. Momma, I miss you so much....
BOX ONE
Joan's Brownie Cake - 2 sides
As a Teenager Momma's big huge pan of Brownies was always a hit. I remember her fine crushing Walnuts as a decoration on Top. I did not, nor still like a chunky Walnut. From Square Dancing to Sports Banquets Momma's Brownies were always a favorite. No, this was not a cigarette butt laying on it, just a yellow piece of tape.

In the mid-1970's there was a vender at the county fair who sold these with fruit toppings. Mom asked her once if she could have the recipe, the lady said for maybe ten-thousand dollars... Momma found this somewhere in a 1800 cook book. I have tried to make these and it just wasn't the same without momma's special touch!

With the fair season in August... Meant in July momma would feed us a lot of Fatballs and Corn dogs, which were very popular, and expensive at the fair. Thus, as the fair was on we would have already had our fill and not beg for the top two treats at the fair!
