TREATS
A piece of tape
sure looks like a
cigarette :)

I for the life of me
can't remember her
cigarette brand...
but i am sure we all
remember how
after all the soda
pop was drank...
you would still go
high and dry a
FEW days before
hitting one of
momma's TAB
colas... yep, they
sucked!
Fair prep to save
money... Momma
would fill us up on
these a few weeks
before fair, along
with corn dogs
etc... No one
wanted a second
grease overdose
while on summer
vacation so you
would naturally
leave the fairs food
alone... :)

i remember a
catsup lid as the
donut hole cutter,
the brown bag of
powdered sugar...
the shaking and
you have donuts...
NASTY donuts...
but they were hot
and good back in
the day!
We all loved my momma's Lasagna... It
meant special friends or a family get
together....

My brother Chuckie seems to remember
a potato peels and egg shells casserole...
that must have been before i can
remember haha! ... this is what i
remembered... square dancing friends
over and momma would do a large
lasagna... cottage cheese... a large
salad... and a dessert... usually that
grated carrot dessert that i felt chuck
could have mistaken for egg shells... it
wasn't my favorite! trying to strain the
jello out of the carrots was a lot of work
eating that :) as an adult i probably
would have liked it.
Even after her stroke, this was one of
momma's dishes that she continued to
make... My wife Carol uses hashbrowns
in potato soup, i do not see why it would
not work as a substitute for dicing up
those potatoes...
