Him Fall Down
My son Jonathon Kyle George, when he was 3 or 4 we went to the doctors
to take one of his brothers or sisters (duh, can't remember which one
EEEK!) and i was low on cigarettes... soooo, we walked from the doctors
to a store. it was 3 or 4 blocks to the store so off we went. our town being a
college town (Tri-State University) sometimes has some unusual things
happen do to the higher then normal ratio of pimply faced teenagers do to
the college.
anyhoooo... we walked 2 blocks when i saw an inline skater coming up to
cross the traffic on skates. i told jon "watch this guy he is pretty good". so
we did.... i wish we would have had this on video as i am sure we would
have won $10,000 on many stupid video shows available here in the united
states. (by the way, i was carrying jon on my shoulders) so the kid comes up
to the crossing area... sees a clear chance to skate across safely and across
he goes... i tell jon to keep watching as he neared the curb on the other side
thinking he would jump the curb.... NOPE... he runs straight into it... and
down he goes... we are both laughing hard... and i tug on his little legs to get
his attention... "did you see that?" i asked... he was roaring too and answers
yessss... so we continue walking, and the skater continues on unhurt to finish
his own journey... i quit looking at this time and maybe went 20 yards when
jon being on my shoulders almost falls over backwards... "hey budd, be
careful" i say to him... and then i realise... he is laughing hysterically... and i
look over towards the skater who had decided although he couldn't jump a
curb he would try decending a small set of steps .... and jon says to me... in
perfect 3 yearoldese.... "him fawl down adain"... i love ya little guy!
